The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) released its final rule on children’s products confirming that libraries have NO independent obligation to test library books for lead under the law.  Later this fall the CPSC will release a Statement of Policy to address the treatment of older children’s boks.

Looking for some resources to teach or address cyber bullying?

StaySafe.Org – Gives statistics from iSafe.org on the prevalence of cyber bullying and then offers advice on how to handle the problem.

Bullying.Org – This is an extensive Canada-based site with lots of resources, including facts about bullies.

Tolerance.Org – Links to anti-bullying resources.

Center for Safe and Responsible Internet Use – Information and resources, including posters and reprints of articles on the topic of bullying, are available in PDF format.  There is also a section that addresses cyber bullying.
